Marrow Donor Data Bank
| We cooperate with the Japan Marrow Donor Program, a bone marrow donor registry sponsored by the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare. Bone marrow and cord blood transplantations are complex clinical interventions to treat life-threatening diseases such as leukemia, aplastic anemia, congenital immunodeficiency, and other conditions. Technology alone cannot cure these diseases. The gift of life comes from volunteer bone marrow donors, who can register through us by providing basic information and a 2 mL sample of blood.

 | Marrow Donor Data Registry We enroll volunteer donors who want to participate in the Japan Marrow Donor Program. With the consent of those who offer this special gift of life, we record essential information in a secure database, and send a blood sample to the Tokyo Metropolitan Blood Center for HLA (Human Leukocyte Antigen transplant compatibility) testing. |
